What is OEM+?

“Our RacingLine Performance Software is simply the most effective modification you can make to a modern turbocharged engine. We don’t just overwrite the existing software – we take the manufacturer’s philosophy and create a completely new calibration designed from scratch exclusively for each model.” - RacingLine Performance

OEM+ is RacingLine’s factory styled calibration suite for VAG platforms. Rather than crudely overwriting stock maps with untested software, each file is built from the ground‑up for a specific engine and ECU. Each software calibration has been extensively tested on the dyno, track and road meaning there is no risk of bad software being written to your car's ECU.

Key benefits

  • Beautiful driveability: strong, consistent torque with smooth pedal mapping and thermal protection.

  • ‘True Stock’ option: revert the ECU to its exact pre‑tune state if needed (e.g., dealer visits).

  • Free stage 2 software upgrades: start on Stage 1 and move to higher stages at no extra software cost when you add the supporting hardware required.

  • TCU ‘Dynamic’ DSG software: faster shifts, smarter torque management, and raised limits to suit the ECU tune.

  • OEM grade development philosophy: Each calibration is built using OEM level calibration techniques for the perfect balance of performance, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Hardware matched tuning: Every tune is designed to work in harmony with RacingLine Performance Parts for seamless integration between software and hardware.

“Matched to Our Hardware Range… The RacingLine Performance Parts range is the most complete on the market, and right from the outset of our OEM+ development, we have ensured that there is perfect harmony between our hardware and software products.” - RacingLine Performance

Stages & typical supporting mods

(Exact hardware varies by engine and vehicle-ask our team for a build plan.)

  • Stage 1 (Road/Stock hardware): High impact ECU remap on a healthy, serviced car. Optional TCU tune recommended on DSG/S-tronic.

  • Stage 1+ (Where applicable): ECU + intake/intercooler or high‑flow panel/cooler packages for sustained performance.

  • Stage 2 (Hardware matched): Downpipe/OPF‑safe options where available, intercooler, intake, and supporting cooling. TCU tune essential on DSG.

  • Stage 3 (Platform dependent): Turbo upgrades with full hardware and exhaust system consideration.

We’ll always confirm the right stage, list required parts, and provide a written quote before suggesting work needed.

FAQs

No. OEM+ is installed by authorised Technical Centres like JCR to ensure correct access, calibration integrity, and aftercare. We do however sell Racingline PDM units for customers wishing to flash their vehicle at home.
Yes, OEM+ supports a ‘True Stock’ reflash to your vehicle’s original file.
Highly recommended on DSG/S-tronic vehicles. It harmonises torque limits, shift points, and clutch pressure with the ECU tune for the best results.
Any modification can affect manufacturer warranties or insurance. We’ll provide paperwork of work performed; always check your policy and obligations.
Any calibration change is potentially detectable by a manufacturer. ‘True Stock’ reversion restores the original file but does not guarantee invisibility.
We only supply software stage 1 – stage 3 configured for legal road use where applicable. For any hardware that affects emissions control, we’ll advise on the compliant route for your vehicle and region.
