If you own a 2022+ VW Golf mk8 R, GTI, Audi S3 8Y, Cupra Leon/Formentor, or similar MQB Evo platform vehicle with a DSG DQ381 transmission, you will have discovered a frustrating limitation: your transmission cannot be tuned.
RacingLine’s Mechatronic Board Upgrade addresses the problem properly, right at the transmission level.
By replacing the locked '401' bootloader factory control board with RacingLine's original Bosch unlocked version, you will open up flashing capability over OBD (and our PDM flash at home system), giving the DSG gearbox a tuning-friendly '301' bootloader.
At last, this allows full, proper RacingLine TCU calibration capability to ensure correct clutch pressure control to match increased torque, plus of course a raft of enhanced performance driving features.
Each Mechatronic Replacement Board includes RacingLine's advanced Dynamic TCU gearbox tuning in the price, and this listing includes the Fitting, DQ381 Gearbox Service (including DSG Oil and DSG Filter) as well as the ancilliary parts required for the installation.
The installation job for this takes our team here at JCR Leeds around 4-hours in total - by which point your car will be ready to drive away with RacingLine's fantastic Dynamic TCU Tune.
